Its the Little Things in Life

What are the things that make you tock?
Things that make you tick make you mad. Using logic then things that make you tock make you glad. About a year ago I was in a rather foul mood and my then fiance mentioned how critical I was being, and pointed out to me that's not who I am. In response, I made a happy list, a list of things that made me smile, feel good, or feel loved. Its amazing how just writing down those things changed my mood, and I've continued to add to it as the year has gone by.
It's always a good idea to have a "happy list" handy
We all have days when we don't feel cheerful, beautiful, successful, or loved. Its a good reminder that we all--and yes I do mean ALL--are all of those things in some way or another. So open up a blank word document, grab a blank notepad and pen, and start jotting down some of the things that make you tock. Here are a few ideas to get you started:
Your favorite: person, season, flower, food, smell, article of clothing, movie, color, time of day, attribute about yourself, accomplishment
Places you go: to feel refreshed, be amazed, hide away, relax, sleep, or push yourself physically
Things that: you have made, are lucky to you, are keepsakes, fascinate you, inspire you, make you laugh
Hopefully that can get you going, and here's a part of my list for some more inspiration...and it's okay if you want to steal an idea or two of mine...who doesn't love getting a back rub?
My Tock List
A cup of coffee in the morning, red shoes, watering my plants, sunshine, hearing my husband laugh, fun umbrellas, ice cream, dogs (except small ones, but even those do sometimes), beer and pizza, yoga time, missing traffic coming home from work, baking bread, walking on the beach, whales and dolphins, big massive clouds, brewing a cup of tea, Sunday naps, comfy chairs, Bollywood dancing, books books and more books, good music, road trips, pictures, taking pictures, snuggling, being organized, painting, getting dirty, mud, bare feet, grass, pajamas, getting a back rub, watching a good movie, a full bodied glass of wine, loud fun games, card games, writing, singing, bubble baths, getting ready for a trip, surprises, being able to clear off my desk at the end of the day, hiking, finding absurd things in stores, watching tourists, fires, kissing, making something with my hands, and gummy bears.
